Let’s get real for a sec, shopping for a co-worker can be hard. We see them every day at work, talk over our coffee in the break room, but don’t know each other on a deep enough level … Continue reading
Snacking is something that is so important! Keeping our bodies fueled properly in between meals is something that some people fail to do. I know it’s easy to get busy and caught up in life, but we still need to be fueling our bodies properly.
After school is such a common snack time for kids and even parents! Kids run into the house and head for the pantry (or snack cabinet.) They normally grab for a pre-packaged toaster pastry or stack of sandwich cookies. While these make amazing desserts, are totally yummy, and are a-okay to eat in moderation. As a daily snack, they aren’t always the best option.
Thanks to my friends at Pizootz, I’m able to bring this yummy review to you guys along with an even more yummy giveaway! Keep on reading for more details!
This September you’re in for a real treat when it comes to movies; especially thanks to the release of “All Saints.”
About the movie:
“ALL SAINTS” is based on the inspiring true story of salesman-turned-pastor Michael Spurlock (John Corbett), the tiny church he was ordered to shut down, and a group of refugees from Southeast Asia. Together, they risked everything to plant seeds for a future that might just save them all.
After trading in his corporate sales career to become a pastor, Michael’s first assignment is All Saints, a quaint country church with a dozen members. It comes with a catch: he has to close the church doors for good and sell the prime piece of land on which it sits. While developers eagerly eye the property and the congregation mourns the inevitable, Michael and his family look forward to moving on to an established church where they can put down roots.
But when the church hesitantly begins welcoming Karen (kuh-REN) refugees from Burma—former farmers striving for a fresh start in America—Michael feels called to an improbable new mission. Toiling alongside the Karen people, the congregation attempts to turn their fertile land into a working farm to pay the church’s bills and feed its newest people.
Jeopardizing his family’s future by ignoring his superiors, Michael must choose between completing what he was assigned to do—close the church and sell the property—or listening to a still, small voice challenging the people of All Saints to risk it all and provide much-needed hope to their new community.
I love the idea of the plot! It encourages us to not always do what is expected, but what we’re called to do. Learning to listen to God instead of the world can be so hard, but can grow your faith (and sometimes others faith, too) in leaps and bounds.
Also, I don’t know about you, but I think this movie is being released at such an appropriate time in society, and, furthermore, the world!
A time where we are not to shut our arms or turn a blind eye to those in need.
A time where we are not doing God’s work of loving our neighbors to the fullest.
This movie is one I see becoming a classic “faith based film.” It’s left a mark on me just from the trailer. I truly cannot wait to see it myself once it comes out in theaters!
Be sure to head to the movies’ website to buy tickets, see more videos and photos, along with a bunch of other cool stuff!

Truth be told, we have more power than we think.
Just the touch of a hand or the sound of a word can make or break someones’ day. Today I’m going to be sharing with you how to make an “Empact” in your own life when it comes to snacking.
This post is centered around Empact Protein Bars! These bars have 10g of protein each, are 100% gluten free, and are super tasty! They make it easy to snack smart and still feel like you’re treating yourself (which you are; in more ways than one!)
I haven’t always had the best relationship with food. So, now that I’m older and much busier than I used to be, I try and nourish my body with what it wants and my soul with what it wants, too. I might have a big Greek Salad for dinner and have some dark chocolate for dessert; all in one day. To me, that’s healthy. I’m not depriving myself of anything I truly want or need. Eating what’s right for you will make a big impact on your overall health and wellness.
So whenever I’m hungry and want something savory yet still nutrient dense, I pick up one of these bad boys.
This brand currently offers 3 flavors: Coconut Crave, Maple-Licious, and Chocolate Cherry Bling. My favorite is chocolate cherry bling!
The brands motto should speak to any and every #goaldigger out there!
“At EM+PACT, we believe empowering women makes the world a better place, and this belief permeates everything we do. From our ingredients and core values, to the way we structure our business, it’s our goal to be intentional about appreciating, recognizing, and taking into account what women want and need. For us, this meant saying sayonara to the status quo surrounding the energy bar aisle, and delivering a healthy, delicious protein bar that’s unapologetically made just for women. A snack and go-to energy source that helps fuel your inner-goal digger, helping you get that much closer to achieving whatever impact you’re set on making.” (*)
These bars are more on the dry/chewy side and have a semi-cracker texture to them. I love the unique flavors and super classy packing!
I do hope they’ll come out with more flavors in the future!
Overall, I love the packaging, ethics of the brand, and ingredients list. The flavor is very nice too! I would like a more moist texture, but I think that’s a personal preference that varies person to person.
