Scriptures For Healing

Let’s get serious for a second.

I love posting giveaways and lighthearted posts, but every once in a while it’s a good thing to slow down and take life a little more seriously.

I think we all can say that there has been some time in our lives we’ve been (or felt) broken; that time might even be right now! We are constantly feeling emotions just by being alive and sometimes we are hurt by things that occur in life. Whether it be from relationships, experiences, or incidents, we can get hurt. Just like a doctor gives us a cast for a broken bone, as a Christian I believe God has given us Scripture to use as a “cast” for our broken souls.

Below I have listed a few of my favorite scriptures for when my soul feels broken and in need of healing. No matter what level of healing you’re in need of, I hope you’ll find at least one verse that will resonate and help encourage you.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalms 147:3 (NIV)

“Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. — Psalms 30:2 (NIV)

“He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'” — Mark 5:34 (NIV)

“Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” — Luke 8:50

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” — Isaiah 40:29

“Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence. Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” — Hosea 6:1 (NIV)

“But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.” — 2 Timothy 4:17

I know this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to scriptures that apply to the vast topic of “healing.” But, hopefully you guys gathered some peace and encouragement from these few verses.

Hope you all have a marvelous week! Happy Sunday ❤

Question time:

What bible verse do you go to for help healing?

Any advice on healing or thoughts on this post/topic?
