Whenever people ask me what my favorite book is, I say, “The Bible.”
No, not because I don’t read books or because I want to “shove my beliefs” down everyone’s throats. But, because it’s true. The Bible is one of the greatest gifts God has given us. Not just as Christians who have given their lives to the Lord, but to new believers, old believers, and even to those who don’t believe at all; the Bible is a guide book.
Now, getting down to honesty, I have not been reading my Bible as much as a I should lately. God took thousands of years of events and compiled them into a book of wisdom. Who am I as a child of the one true King not to read His word everyday?
We get “too busy” or “have other things to do,” which may or may not be true. But, we are humans and we get caught up in worldly things. Thankfully, authors like Max Anders are writing books like “30 Days To Understanding The Bible.”
Books like these are helping people from all walks of life and faith to circle back to the reason for it all, Jesus.
About the book:
30 Days to Understanding the Bible is the straightforward, easy-to-use guide to learning that Bible that’s been recommended by Bible teachers and pastors for 30 years.
Dr. Max Anders is the author of over 25 books. He has taught on the college and seminary level and is a veteran pastor. Max was also one of the original team members with Walk Thru the Bible Ministries. He provides resources and discipleship strategies at MaxAnders.com to help people grow spiritually.
As pictured above, I love how interactive this book is! It has quizzes and maps! It really brings the Bible to life which takes away the repetition of reading each page until you eventually reach the end of the book. Also, it’s fun testing your Bible knowledge and trying to find the right answer 🙂 It feels like a textbook, only this one you’ll actually enjoy, ha!
Some days, I took it upon myself to read more than just “one day’s worth” of learning. I found myself with a thirst for more knowledge and didn’t want to wait 24 hours. That sounds to me like the makings of a great read!
In the season of giving, give this book with confidence in knowing that you’re helping someone take an extra step (or the first step) in their walk with Jesus. They will thank you later – trust me!
