Hello, dear friends!
Long time no talk. So sorry for the sporadic posting schedule! I’ve been getting adjusted to working full-time as opposed to part-time, so thanks for hanging in there with me!
I do have some exciting posts and giveaways coming up to make up for my absence, yay! 🙂
Anywho, today I’m doing a “currently” post. No, this isn’t a Friday Favorites post like I’ve done before, but it’s kinda similar…? So, here’s what I’ve currently been loving for the month of July 2017.
Currently Loving: Short(er) Hair
Technically this photo was taken about 5 weeks ago, but my hair hasn’t grown that much since so were just going to go with this picture. Especially since I have not taken a selfie as of late and right now I look very un-photogenic (in my Wonder Woman pajama shirt and workout shorts, ha!)
I love my shorter hair because it’s easier to style, wash, and overall just to have, I don’t have to spend 20 minutes on just brushing out all the tangles. Also, I got some layers and a small side bang. I love it!
Currently Eating: Cereal = The Love Of My Life
Yes, this photo was taken in the laundry room. #dontjudge
Moving on, I love cereal. It’s so simple to make, yummy, and well, yummy!
I saw an advertisement for the new “Blueberry Toast Crunch” and new I had to try it. I love the regular “Cinnamon Toast Crunch,” but I am a lover of anything blueberry flavored. Needless to state, I am devouring this box like a boss.
This cereal taste like crunchy bites of blueberry muffin goodness; pair it with almond milk and you have the perfect dessert making for a happy cereal addict (like yours truly.)
Currently Listening To: “Good News” by Ocean Park Standoff
It seems like there’s always something unfortunate happening. I am such an empathetic person that sometimes the news leaves me feeling empty and so sad. Of course, I live in reality and know that trials and tribulations are just part of life. But, this song reminds me that we do need good news and we need to focus on the good. I heard this song on the radio one day and immediately loved the message.
Currently Watching: Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them
I am quite the Potterhead and had still not seen the “Fantastic Beasts” movie yet; this was until about a week ago. I had a day off so my family and I rented this movie on Amazon Video. It was AMAZING! I loved how it was set in old-ish New York, but it was still relatable and not confusing whatsoever. I am so pumped for the next installment in the series. The cast was amazing and I am so glad that the world of wizardry has made its way back into my life ❤
That is all for this post, folks! I just wanted to take a second to say thank you for hangin’ with me throughout this past week. More posts are headed your way soon! Hope y’all ave an amazing weekend 😀
What is your favorite cereal?
Do you have any movie recommendations?
I still have not seen that movie! Welcome back too!
Thanks so much! You should totally watch it; it’s awesome =)
Thanks for sharing what’s been on your radar. I love the new hair and I need to get that cereal for my kids. They would love it!
Thank you, Kathrine! I think they’d love it! I know I do 😉
Your hair looks lovely shorter! I loved Fantastic Beasts too although I’ve only seen it once!
Thanks so much, Amy! I might watch it again, it was just sooo good 🙂 x
Ooh I like your hair! Very cute.I LOVED Fantastic Beasts. I’m glad you got the chance to check it out and really enjoyed it too. I’m a big Ezra Miller and Eddie Redmayne fan. I can’t wait for the sequel. If only it came out this year and not next…Oh well, not TOO long, right?
Thank you so much, Lauren! The series is going to be awesome (I just know it). I cannot wait for the sequel to come out. SO GOOD 😀 ❤
I like your tagline, “….blogger who loves coffee, pancakes, and Jesus…” You sound like my kind of gal! 😀 Speaking of coffee, I’m on my second cup as I do return visits this morning. I SO appreciate your stopping by yesterday. Did you hit the dance floor? It’s “your choice” mewsic this week and I see you have a song tied to your post. 😉 Ocean Park Standoff is new-to-me but I enjoyed listening to “Good News”. The verse is so true, I need some good news, baby Feels like the world’s gone crazy. Make no mistake no matter how old or young in your case one is, we all see the idiotic and moral degradation in our society. I hope your generation with God’s help can set this country, this world back on track. I admit, I’m not a Harry Potter fan but I’m curious to see the movies. Perhaps when or if they arrive on Netflix or Amazon Prime then I can catch them to see what all this fascination is all about. I like that your family has a movie night. We did this with our kids when they were younger. We’d have pizza and snacks while we had a movie marathon on Fridays. It was a great way to unwind after a hectic week and to enjoy time with the family. I sure do miss those days. Enjoy them while you can! I’m outta here, for now, kitten. Have a funtastic summer and don’t work too hard. 😉
It’s so lovely to hear from you, Cathy! Movie marathons are truly the best (especially when snacks are involved)! I hope so, too, that our generation can get back on track and make a strong, positive impact on the world. There’s so much going on and we get so overwhelmed and feel like we could never make a difference, when really, we can! I hope you have a marvelous weekend! I’m so glad to have you on board as a reader ❤

Oopsy, I forgot my favorite cereal…hmmm, I LOVE cereal! I can eat just about any kind but if I HAVE to pick one then it would be Cheerio’s. A movie recommendation? Well…I’m not familiar with what’s currently playing and Hollywood hasn’t cranked out much good stuff in recent years. The 80s produced some blockbuster hits. I betcha your parents can help you with a few excellent suggestions.
I’ve been craving Honey Nut Cheerios so bad recently! I need to buy me a box ASAP! I bet my mom would love it if our next movie night was 80’s themed. You’ve given me an idea 😉 Thanks! ❤

I still haven’t seen Fantastic Beasts either! I had intended to, but just never got around to it. I need to remedy that soon!
