21 Mother’s Day DIY Gifts!

Mothers are such a blessing.

They carry us around for nine months in their bellies; and forever in their hearts.

Throughout the years I’ve gotten my mom various things for Mother’s Day, but sometimes I run out of ideas. I’ve gotten her so much as time’s gone by that she pretty much has everything I’d ever think of buying.

But, one thing that moms (mine included) never get tired of is homemade presents. They’re truly from the heart and can be really fun to make! I’ve browsed the web and found 21 DIY crafts that I thought would make a great Mother’s Day present for your mom or that special mother figure in your life.

  1. I think my favourite one is the DIY Mother’s Day Mug. My siblings and I have given my Mum personalised mugs a few times now and she always loves them! My mum also really likes it when we get her flowers. Grace Xx

    • Hi, Meg! I’m so glad you stopped by and enjoyed all the ideas.

To me, a robe is like a warm and fluffy hug. They make such amazing gifts; especially for hard working mamas.

I hope you have a wonderful first Mother’s Day ❤

  2. Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are two holidays I really struggle with. I always want my parents to know how much I love them, but I’m the worst at gift-giving. I like the idea of a recipe box though. I think my mom would appreciate that!

    • I kind of struggle with that, too, Julia. I used to buy my parents novelty items such as a teddy bear that says “I Luv U” on it, but over the years they add up and what do they need with 50 stuffed animals? As I’ve gotten older I started either creating my own gifts or asking my parents what they truly need. A recipe box is a wonderful gift to give that will last for years and years. Have a wonderful Tuesday ❤

  3. Edye, what an amazing, thoughtful list. I personally Love the DIY Mother’s Day Mug idea. A mug is always something I use throughout the day, so it is perfect.
Last year my daughters gave me a pair of lovely warm soft cozy boot like winter slippers, they were divine, and perfect for our winter as we are going into winter here in South Africa. (and I live in slippers in winter, I love being nice and cozy and warm and I was putting holes in my slipper socks! ) Also, a box of nice chocolates. For me, chocolates are also nice, as I would never buy myself box of chocolates. ❤
Mother's Day is a very special day for me, even though my mom has passed, in her memory on Mother's Day, I will go and pick some roses which I know she will love.
Have a beautiful day Edye. xxx

    • So glad you found enjoyment out of the post, Lynne!

Those slippers sound splendid! My feet are always chilly so a good pair of fuzzy socks or slippers is always a must have for me.

I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. Picking flowers in her memory is such a beautiful way to honor her. You’re such a sweet and kind person; I’m sure your mother is very proud of you ❤

      Sending you big hugs!! ❤
