I think we’ve established that I’m a foodie and love spending my fair share in the kitchen. So, I’m always looking for new cookbooks to read, recipes to try, and food shows to watch.
I’m sure if you love food and talk-shows you’ve watched the show “The Chew,” and you know who Micheal Symons is. Well, he’s made a few cookbooks and I’m so excited to be giving one away today!
This book is “5 In 5 For Every Season: 165 Quick Dinners, Sides, Holiday Dishes and More.”
“5 fresh ingredients + 5 minutes of heat = 165 recipes
Ridiculously easy from-scratch recipes to get you in and out of the kitchen in a flash every day of the week—now with sides and holiday dishes, too
The follow-up to the bestselling Michael Symon’s 5 in 5, this new book delivers 165 quick, easy, fresh recipes organized by season with an entire section devoted to making the holidays simpler than ever. Each chapter features inspired main courses as well as recipes for sides and 5 fun ways to celebrate the season, including no-bake summer fruit desserts and spiked drinks to warm up with in winter.” (*)
Sounds pretty cool, huh? I love that each recipe on requires just 5 fresh ingredients and 5 minutes of heat – how easy is that?! This book was inspired by Micheal’s segment on The Chew where he cooks a great meal in a short amount of time.
Below I’ve included my top 10 recipes featured in the cookbook. Of course there’s 155 more that are just as tasty, but I had to narrow it down…
Angel Hair with Peas, Lemon, & Mint
Rigatoni with Mushroom & Swiss Chard
Springtime Smoothies
Grilled Zucchini Rolls with Feta & Almonds
Grilled Chicken Thighs with Blueberry Salad
Spinach Salad with Strawberries, Red Onion & Feta
Parmesan Zucchini Fries
Penne with Broccoli, Red Pepper Flakes & Prosciutto
Thai-Style Shrimp Salad
Rigatoni with Pulled Chicken & Feta
Sound pretty delicious? Yeah, I thought so also.
