Scriptures For Being Grateful

best

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Americans out there!

I knew I wanted to write a post in honor of this day and wasn’t quite sure what I wanted it to be. But, all of a sudden, at almost 10 p.m. it hit me – Scriptures For Being Grateful.

Whether you’re a spiritual person or not, I think we can all take some inspiration and guidance from these scriptures. Words can be SO powerful and impacting. I hope you take something positive from this post and find it encouraging.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV)

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Colossians 3:15 (NIV)

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”

Colossians 3:17 (NIV)

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Colossians 4:2 (NIV)

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”

Psalm 107:1-3 (NIV)

“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary And gathered from the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.”

James 1:17 (NIV)

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
