Fall is the season of fuzzy socks, warm fires, and sweet treats. I love nothing more than spending my Sunday mornings baking up goodies for the ones I love most.
In honor of the season (and my love for baking), I’m partnering with Krusteaz to bring you guys a recipe for pumpkin muffins with a walnut cream cheese frosting.
These are super easy to make and super yummy to eat. Let’s get to baking >>>>>
Ingredients For Muffins:
1 box of Krusteaz Pumpkin Muffin Mix
2 eggs
2/3 cup of water
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
Ingredients For Frosting:
2 cups of powdered sugar
1 stick of butter
1 tsp. of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of crushed walnuts
a dash of pumpkin pie spice (optional)
Directions:
1.) Make the Krusteaz pumpkin spice muffin mix according to directions on the back of the box.
2.) Let the muffins cool before frosting.
3.) Use electric mixer to blend the butter, vanilla extract, and cream cheese together.
4.) Mix in the powdered sugar one cup at a time.
5.) Add in the crushed walnuts and a dash of pumpkin pie spice; blend carefully.
6.) Lastly, frost the cooled muffins with desired amount of frosting.
ENJOY!
