My Favorite Sources Of Plant Based Protein

1 cup frozen PEACHES¼ cup coconut water1 Tbsp. honey3 ounces cream cheese1 5-oz. package parsley, chopped2 Tbsp. sunflower seeds¼ cup puffed rice cereal

I hope y’all are having a great week so far! Mine’s going well; I’ve gotten loads of school work done and am looking forward to spending the 4th Of July weekend with my loved ones. Today’s post is going to be a post on how I get my protein. I’m a vegetarian and get asked quite often, “How do you get your protein?” and I usually recommend some of the foods below. Meat is a good source of protein, but plant based foods are too!!! Here’s some of my personal faves…

Clif Bars

Guys. I’ve touched on this before, but I’m a protein bar freak! I love trying new flavors and brands, but always come back to Clif bars. They’re made with mostly organic ingredients, are nutrient dense, and SO yummy! My favorite flavor, Oatmeal Raisin Walnut, has 10g of protein in one bar. This is a go-to snack for me.

Jif Natural Peanut Butter

I LOVE peanut butter. I probably could eat a whole jar by myself, truth be told. Anyways… This is one of my favorite PB’s! It has five simple ingredients and is Non-GMO. I love peanut butter on bagels, bananas, crackers, and just out of the jar 😉 Two tablespoons of this peanut butter has 7g of protein.

Morning Star Veggie Burgers

These babies are SO yummy! I enjoy Boca burgers, but these are my favorite. They have a few different varieties, but my personal fave is the Spicy Black Bean Burgers. These burgers are super filling and have a good amount of fiber and protein. One burger has 10g of protein.

Morning Star Chik’n Nuggets

Not gonna lie, before I became vegetarian chicken was my favorite meat. From time to time I still crave it, and whenever I do I pop some of these in the microwave and my craving is totally satisfied! These taste so much like the real thing. My mom (who’s a meat eater) says they’re almost identical to chicken, too. The texture, look, and taste are on point! I usually pair a few of these with some brown rice for a yummy dinner.

Silk Yogurt

I love yogurt! On occasion I’ll have a Greek yogurt, but recently I’ve been eating this kind like crazy. This is 10x creamier than regular yogurt, has no high-fructose corn syrup, and is Non-GMO. I personally love the peach & mango kind the most, but they’re all super good! One 5.3 oz container has 6g of protein.

That’s all for this one, but there’s tons of more plant based foods packed with protein! Brown rice, tofu, nuts, soy milk, whole grain bread, and many more. Hopefully you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know what you thought below. I love hearing your feedback! Now I’m off to check some emails and chill, adios ♥

Question time:

Where do you get your protein from?

Tried any of the foods above? Did you like them?

  1. I love those veggie burgers! I’m a vegetarian too, trying to be vegan (cheese is a constant struggle) but I never feel like I can’t get enough protein. There’s so many options out there! Great post.

  2. Congratulations your post was my featured pick for this week’s Over the Moon link up. It is always good to learn different ways to still get your protein without eating meat all of the time. Thanks for the info. Sue from Sizzling Towards Sixty.

  3. I need to try that yogurt! I tried coconut milk yogurt and found it to be too sour for my taste. I like edamame which has a good amount of protein in it. Also quinoa and any nut butters are my life haha!
