Friday Favorites #4

friday faves

Happy weekend y’all! This week has been super packed for me. I’ve had so much going on, and I’m looking forward to the weekend. I’m going to hang with the fam and take it easy the next couple days. Today I’m going to do one of my favorite posts; Friday favorites! So lets get into  it –>

Ari by Ariana Grande Rollerball Perfume  –

ari

I love buying perfumes in rollerball form because (a.) they’re cheaper than a full sized bottle and (b.) they’re just the right amount! By the time I use up a whole bottle of perfume I’m so tired of the scent. Please tell me I’m not alone… This way is a win win. This perfume has a sweet, girly scent to it. It’s light, but strong at the same time. I know, I’m bad at describing scents 😉 All I can say is that it’s amazing ❤

Urban Decay “Sin” Eye Shadow

sin

Please excuse the horrid selfie pictured above. Yikes! Anywho, I’m not usually an eye shadow girl (I typically stick to mascara and that’s it for eye makeup). However, I’ve been getting into neutral/earth-tone shades  lately. This color is the perfect pink with sparkle and shine. It lasts a long time and has great pigmentation. If you have the 1st Naked Palette from Urban Decay, then you already own this color. LOVE.

La Croix Sparkling Water

This stuff is SO good! I’m a huge sparkling water fan, but sometimes I like for my water to have a little flavor. This drink is perfect! My favorite flavors currently are berry and lime, but I like pretty much every kind they make 😉 They’re so refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day.

“Come Alive (Dry Bones)” – Lauren Daigle

Every time I hear this song, I feel God’s presence. I’m such a fan of Lauren’s and love how God is working through her. Her music has such a great message and her voice is beautiful. This song gives me such peace. Whenever my day is getting so busy and I need a moment of calm, I listen to this song.

Jesus > Religion by Jefferson Bethke

bethke

Jefferson Bethke has only written two books, but he is one of my favorite authors. I love his take on the world and on Christianity. The book is based off this video on his YouTube channel. If you’re curious about Christianity, have been a Christian all your life, or anywhere in between, this book is for you. It has been such a blessing to me. p.s if you guys would like for me to make a post sharing my favorite christian books, let me know.

That’s it for this FF! I hope y’all have a great first weekend of summer 2016 🙂 Talk to you in my next post ❤

Question:

What’s one thing you’ve been loving recently?

Are you a sparkling water fan?

  1. Ah, I love Lauren Daigle too. My other current fav in the Christian music category these days is Rend Collective.
I’ve never tried La Croix. But I just said to my husband today, “I’m bored of water. Do you ever get bored of water?” (He said no). But maybe it’s time for me to jump on the La Croix bandwagon. 🙂

    • Rend Collective has some great songs! La Croix is totally worth a try. They have a wide variety of flavors including a plain flavor, so it’s just like sparkling water 🙂 Thanks for reading, Kelly!

  2. I do like the rollerball perfumes as well. Although these days I often will do a spray of my perfume into the air and walk through it, so that isn’t something I can do with those. I’ve wondered about that book, I may have to give it a try. Thanks for stopping by my blog Lisa Loves Literature earlier!

  3. I’ve seen La Croix in the store and have been curious about trying it for a while. I may have to get it now. I may need to check out that book too. I’ve spent so much of my life not knowing the difference between Jesus and religion and now I know that religion may not necessarily be based from the Bible or Christ himself. That book may clear a lot more up for me. Thanks for sharing!

    • Most of my life I thought religion meant Jesus too. In the book the author talks about how religion says “do” and Jesus says “done.” Hope you enjoy the rest of your week ❤

  5. What a great post! I’m definitely going to check out that book! If you haven’t read “The Shack” I highly recommend it. I read it when I was going through a tough time and it totally changed my perspective on life, family and faith. They’re making a movie about it too. I only wish I didn’t buy it on my now broken kindle so I could read it again and again. 😉

  6. Oh my, I think I’m going to have to try the perfume and eye shadow. I usually only wear mascara and eyeliner, but I love the sound of pink and sparkly!
The book sounds good. I’d like to hear your favorite Christian novels.

    • They’re both amazing! I love wearing the perfume and eyeshadow together, I feel so girly 🙂 I definitely plan on doing that post sometime soon. Have a great weekend, Laura!
